Crisp trim work is where craftsmanship shows. Chipped skirtings, yellowed doors and scuffed architraves quietly age a room, no matter how fresh the walls are. We prepare, sand and paint your trims in a durable semi-gloss or satin, in the correct order, with the sharp clean lines that finish a room properly. Backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

You can repaint every wall in a room perfectly and it will still look half-done if the trims are tired. Skirting boards collect scuffs and vacuum marks, internal doors and their frames yellow and chip over the years, and architraves gather knocks around every doorway. Fresh, crisp white trims do the opposite — they frame the room, sharpen every line, and make the whole space read as properly finished.
Trim painting is fiddly, detailed work and it's where a rushed job shows immediately. We prepare properly — cleaning, sanding and filling chips and dents — and paint skirtings, architraves, doors and window frames in a durable semi-gloss or satin enamel that stands up to knocks, cleaning and daily wear far better than wall paint. And we work in the correct order — ceilings, then walls, then trims — so the lines where they meet are sharp and clean, not muddy.
With over 15 years painting trims and joinery across Camberwell, Brighton, Hawthorn, Kew, Glen Iris and surrounding suburbs — as Master Painters VIC & TAS members and Dulux Accredited Painters — we deliver the crisp detail that finishes a room. Every project is backed by a written 5-year workmanship warranty.

Trims are usually painted in a semi-gloss or satin enamel rather than flat wall paint, because the harder finish stands up to knocks, scuffs and regular cleaning far better. Semi-gloss is the most durable and easiest to wipe down; satin gives a softer look with good durability. We'll recommend the right finish for your home and how the room is used.
After. The correct order is ceilings first, then walls, then trims — skirtings, architraves and doors last. Painting the trims last is what lets us cut a sharp, clean line where they meet the freshly painted walls, rather than ending up with a muddy or overlapping edge.
Yes. Smooth doors come from proper preparation — cleaning, sanding and the right enamel applied with the correct technique — so you get an even finish without heavy brush marks or runs. Panel and flush doors are both painted to a clean, hard-wearing finish.
Yes. Old timber and previously stained or yellowed trims can be prepared and painted white or any colour you like. Bare or stained timber is cleaned, sanded and primed correctly first so the new colour bonds evenly and doesn't let the old finish bleed through.
