A freshly painted or stained fence sharpens the whole look of a property — and protects it from the weather. Whether you have a weathered timber paling fence or a faded Colorbond boundary, we prepare it properly and finish it to last. Backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

A fence is one of the most visible features of any property — and one of the most neglected. A tired, greying timber fence or a chalky, sun-faded Colorbond one drags down an otherwise well-kept home. A fresh coat does the opposite: it sharpens the boundary, ties the exterior together, and shields the material from Melbourne's harsh sun and rain. Fence painting is one of the highest-impact, best-value jobs we do.
We work with both main fence types. Timber paling and feature fences are cleaned, sanded where needed, and finished with a penetrating stain to show the grain or a solid paint for a bold, uniform colour. Colorbond and metal fences that have gone chalky and faded are cleaned, primed with the correct metal primer, and resprayed or rolled in a durable exterior finish — restoring the colour and protecting the steel. Either way, preparation is what makes the finish stick and last.
With over 15 years painting fences across Camberwell, Brighton, Hawthorn, Kew, Glen Iris and surrounding suburbs — as Master Painters VIC & TAS members and Dulux Accredited Painters — we deliver a clean, sharp result. Every fence project is backed by a written 5-year workmanship warranty.

Yes. Colorbond and other metal fences can absolutely be repainted once they've faded and gone chalky. The key is preparation: we clean the surface thoroughly to remove the chalky layer, prime with a primer made for metal, then apply a durable exterior topcoat. Done this way the new colour bonds properly and lasts — painting straight over unprepared Colorbond is what causes peeling.
Stain penetrates the timber for a natural look that shows the grain and is easy to recoat, though it needs doing more often. Paint gives a solid, uniform colour and can last longer between coats, but once a fence is painted it stays painted. We'll help you choose based on the fence, the look you want and how much upkeep suits you.
Cost depends on the length and height of the fence, the material, its condition, and whether you choose paint or stain — a long boundary fence needing repair costs more than a short, sound one. We give a clear written quote after a quick look, so you know the exact price before we start, with no surprises.
We can do either. Many homeowners paint their own side, but if the fence is shared it's worth agreeing with your neighbour — doing both sides at once protects the timber better and looks consistent. We'll advise on the best approach and can quote for one or both sides.
We paint fences across Melbourne's inner east and bayside — including Camberwell, Brighton, Hawthorn, Kew, Glen Iris, Malvern, Richmond, South Yarra, Caulfield and Toorak. Call us to confirm availability in your suburb.
